Glacier based dog sled tour on snow right here in Girdwood. Heighten your Alaskan experience with the most original form of the North: Dog sledding! Visit the owner, 9 time Iditarod trail veteran Dario Martinez, and ride with Iditarod dogs. Step aboard a helicopter for a spectacular flight through the Chugach Mountains to a remote Glacier camp. Experience the enthusiasm of Alaskan Iditarod Huskies while you mush on an alpine snowfield. Accompanied by your guide, you will have a chance to drive the dogsled yourself, or ride in the sled while taking in the grandeur of the North Country. Photo opportunities are unlimited; don’t forget to bring your camera. The tour totals 2 hours, 1 1/2 hours on the glacier 2 person minimum.
